Chasing Sunrise has gone to some pretty rad places, but we know that the best experiences are always the ones ahead of us.

This fall, we plan to go after some surreal summits, but know that the work to get there starts now.

That's why we've put together Peak Project – helping all of us get closer to where we want to go.

The Program

Peak Project: Round 2.0 is a 7-week long fitness program designed to take you from where ever you're at to the top of some of the best summits this city has to offer.

Round 2.0 - Switchbacks - is held twice a week on Wednesdays (bootcamp) and Thursday (hike/summit).

Designed to train both your body and your mind, the program will help you conquer both the mountain and yourself – with the ultimate goal of getting the whole crew up the infamous Mount Brunswick on September 30th.

And in true CS-fashion, you know it's going to be more than just showing up and working out.

Through weekly bootcamps and hikes, programming, and a rad community, we will help train you to overcome your roadblocks, prep your body and mind, and push yourself to become exactly what you're capable of being.

The Peak Project has been the highlight of my summer! I haven’t been outside and active this much in a long while and it has really motivated me to explore the outdoors a lot more.

What's Included

7 Week Fitness Program – Designed to get you beyond your goals, you will receive a seven week fitness program that will take you and the rest of the crew from where you are at to the top of Brunswick.

Twice-Weekly Fitness Classes – Access to twice-a-week fitness coaching and classes, bootcamps and group hikes.

Coaching – Professional coaching from marathon coach Ashley Bergson & CrossFit coach Cameron MacDougall.

Progress Tracking – You will have an initial test and your stats will be tracked and shared with you at multiple times throughout the program. Several hikes will be used as benchmarks locations, so you can also feel your progress as you go. 

Accountability – Motivation can be the hardest mountain to overcome. You'll get weekly accountability, insights, emails, and advice from the crew.

The Community – Conquering summits is not nearly as fun alone. You'll be invited into a badass community that will hold you accountable to yourself, and your summits.

Oh, and a whole bunch of secrets we can't quite giveaway yet...

The Breakdown

The program is broken down into a 7-week session:

ROUND 2.0: SWITCHBACKS (Aug 10 - Sept 27th)

Switchbacks is designed for beginner & intermediate hikers and will ultimately set you up to complete summits like Mount Brunswick, with over 1,500m of elevation gain.

WRAP UP (Sept 28th)

Everyone is invited out to come out and connect over kombucha and rad memories before The Final Ascent.  


All members of Basecamp and Switchbacks are invited (and encouraged) to join us, and the entire community for The Final Ascent climb up Mount Brunswick on September 30th.

Schedule, Dates & Location


The program will be held on Wednesday and Thursday night from 7:00PM to 8:30PM*.

  • Bootcamps will run Wednesdays @ 7:00PM - 8:30PM
  • Hikes will run Thursday @ 7:00PM - 8:30PM

*End times may vary depending on the hike, group progress and conditions.

Program Location

Bootcamp classes and hikes will be held at various locations through the Lower Mainland and will vary from week to week.

Chasing Sunrise was founded to push the boundaries of what we're capable of and know that some of the best stuff is hidden away behind summits that for many of us seem out of reach.

Knowing that, Peak Project is designed to bring the best fitness knowledge, accountability, community, and experiences to help you push what you are capable of doing and have a rad time while doing it.

Friends Who Are Making This Happen

RYU and CS are both about getting the most out of life, ourselves, and facilitating human performance. They are a rad company in town who've offered to come make this experience even better.
