We're looking for someone to help execute our Damn Early Days community.

THE GIST

We are looking to bring on someone who loves to build community.

 

You'll be responsible for managing the  further developing, executing, and growing the Damn Early Days program and brand.

You'll be empowering people connect and get after life, as well as help craft experiences, working closely alongside the Chasing Sunrise Content and Events teams to bring this community to thousands of people.
 

THE OVERVIEW:
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME

Vera spends her time bolstering a fantastic community for Sprout Social users to thrive in, but what exactly does her day-to-day schedule look like?

How Vera Spends Her Day:

  • 40% having conversations with our brand advocates and folks in our communities
  • 20% building visibility and credibility as “Sprout Vera” by attending Twitter chats and moderating our own #SproutChat
  • 20% strategizing ways to scale our communities and connect with new people
  • 10% analyzing efforts driving the most traffic
  • 10% creating relationships with people in different teams at the office (and drinking lots of coffee)

In short, a community manager acts as an extension of the brand they represent. They’re flesh-and-blood people who get in the trenches with clients and customers, meanwhile also engaging with new prospects on a regular basis. An effective community manager basically provides brands with a face that encourages personal connections between a company and its followers.

You’ll have a direct voice with the community. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the right tone of tone of voice is vital.

4. CONTENT CURATION & CREATION

A huge part of helping the community grow will be about finding community growth will be about finding, curation, and creating content that resonates with the community. If that’s your jam, this is for you.

5. A LOVE FOR EVENTS

While we will have an events team that supports you, a love for events and the ability to step up and share in the workload is a huge asset. Event planning experiences is important.

6. GROWTH

We believe this community is something that can attract hundreds of thousands in this area. With the support of the rest of the Chasing Sunrise team, you will be responsible for the growth of the community.

7. CROSS-TEAM COLLABORATION

You'll be working closely with the Chasing Sunrise Content and Events team. The ability to work well across teams is a huge asset.
